Burka & Scott R. Burka David L. Burka - President Mr. Burka is the founder and president of Delbe Real Estate, Inc. A Certified Public Accountant and licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, he has been involved in various facets of real estate for over 28 years. Mr. Burka graduated with Honors with a B.S. in Accounting from Miami University of Ohio, and went on to earn his M.B.A. from George Washington University. Since 1982, Mr. Burka has developed and renovated several other commercial projects. As the developer he has had experience in every stage of development, including design, competition for development rights, financing, construction, legal issues, leasing and management. He has primary responsibility and oversight for Delbe’s commercial portfolio and its Delbe Home Services clients. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington, D.C. Association of Realtors, and he has served as an officer, board member and committee member for numerous charitable and non-profit organizations. Scott R. Burka - Vice President Scott Burka has responsibility and oversight for the day to day operations of Delbe's Association properties as well as shared responsibility for the commercial properties that Delbe manages. He is a graduate of Brandeis University with a B.A. in Economics and is a licensed real estate agent in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation, the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation and currently serves on the Small and Self Managed Association Subcommittee of the Washington Chapter of Community Associations Institute. Scott joined Delbe in 1993 following four years with Riggs National Bank. During that time he served as an Assistant Vice President in the Financial Services Group and was involved in various aspects of real estate and financial management, including property analysis, appraisal analysis, mortgage financing, cash flow analysis and cash management. Scott has also served as an officer, board member and committee member for several charitable and non-profit organizations.
